Have you ever looked at a fish on the other side of the tank and wondered, "What is that fish feeling?"
The boundary between the sky and the sea. The boundary between life and death. The boundary between reality and fantasy. In this world, there are many insurmountable "boundaries." That's why we imagine, "What if I could live on the other side?" Because it would surely be so beautiful and different, and we would strongly yearn for it.
But you can't become a resident of another world. Just as you will wake up from a dream, you will have to return to this world someday.
You may be able to get close to "that kid" playing on the other side, but you can never become "that kid."
Like opening a favorite picture book, I want to play on the other side of my imagination, and like closing a favorite picture book, I want to feel the frustration of an insurmountable boundary.
I named this collection of works "Beyond the Boundary" to express the coexistence of such joy and sadness.
I hope you enjoy this book as if it were a journey through a fantasy world.

Narano
After working as a nursery teacher in Taiwan for one year, she became an independent illustrator. She creates illustrations for books, advertisements, web, and other fields, and also works as a manga artist. She loves to draw the gentle blue of the sea and sky, and the mysticism of children.
His publications include "Narano nurie book" (Graphic-sha) and he is responsible for the cover art of "Samishī yoru ni wa, pen o mote" (by Koga Fumitake, POPLAR PUBLISHING CO., LTD.). He is currently serializing the popular manga "Sazanami machi to, hazama no ko" on the web media "MATOGROSSO" (East Press).
